Rosie Wrap Earwarmer | Quick Crochet Headband Written Pattern & Tutorial!

Crochet Earwarmer 



We can do it! This retro pinup style headband was inspired by Rosie the Riveter.

With this quick, beginner friendly tutorial, you can get the wrap done, put it on, and get things done!

Supplies You'll Need
Worsted Weight Yarn 
H (5 mm) hook 
Scissors 
tapestry needle 

Stitches You'll Use 
Ch-chain 
SC-single crochet 
sc2tog- single crochet decrease 
dc- double crochet 
dc2tog - double crochet decrease 
Sl st - slip stitch 

First Ear 
Row 1: ch 3, sc 2, ch 1. Turn (2 st) 
Row 2: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 1, ch 1. Turn (3 st) 
Row 3: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 2 ch 1. Turn (4 st) 
Row 4: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 3, ch 1. Turn (5 st) 
Row 5: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 4, ch 1. Turn (6 st) 
Row 6: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 5, ch 1. Turn (7 st) 
Row 7: 2 sc in 1st st, 6, ch 1. Turn (8 st) 
Rows 8-11: sc 8, ch 1. Turn (8 st) 
Row 12: sc2tog, sc 6, ch 1. Turn (7 st) 
Row 13: sc2tog, sc 5, ch 1. Turn (6 st) 
Row 14: sc2tog, sc 4, ch 1. Turn (5 st) 
Row 15: sc2tog, sc 3, ch 1. Turn (4 st) 
Rows 16-19: sc 4, ch 1. Turn (4 st) 

Body Row 20: 2 sc in each st, ch 1. Turn (8 st) 
Row 21: *2sc in 1st st, 1 sc. Repeat from * to end. Ch 1. Turn (12 st) 
Row 22: 12 sc, ch 2. Turn (12 st) 
Row 23: 12 dc, ch 2. Turn (12 st) 
*Repeat Row 23 until length of headband from row 22 to end is 21” long. 

Decrease Rows 
*Dc2tog, dc 1. Repeat from * to end. Ch 1, turn. (8 st) 
Sc2tog to end. Ch 1, turn. (4 st) 

Second Ear Row 1: Sc 4, ch 1. Turn. (4 st) 
*Repeat line above for 3 more rows. (4 rows total) 
Row 5: 2 sc in 1st st ,sc 4, ch 1. Turn (5 st) 
Row 6: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 5, ch 1. Turn (6 st) 
Row 7: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 6, ch 1. Turn (7 st) 
Row 8: 2 sc in 1st st, sc 7, ch 1. Turn (8 st) 
Rows 9-12: sc 4, ch 1. Turn (8 st) 
Row 13: sc2tog, sc 6, ch 1. Turn (7 st) 
Row 14: sc2tog, sc 5, ch 1. Turn (6 st) 
Row 15: sc2tog, sc 4, ch 1. Turn (5 st) 
Row 16: sc2tog, sc 3, ch 1. Turn (4 st) 
Row 17: sc2tog, sc 2, ch 1. Turn (3 st) 
Row 18: sc2tog, sc1, ch 1. Turn (2 st) 
Row 19: 2 sc. Ch 1, DO NOT TURN. 
SC along outer edge of the entire wrap until coming back to ch 1. Sl st to first ch, fasten off. Weave in ends.
